Our aim is to reach as wide a population of the visually impaired as we can so that we all feel part of the community. Additionally we record the BH Life and Home News for Bournemouth Council and these tapes are available from Bournemouth Public Libraries.
WHAT WE DO
We produce, on audio cassette tape/CD, news taken from local newspapers across Dorset, church magazines and community papers. There are magazine features. quiz items and items of personal interest. All you need is a simple cassette or CD player.
DISTRIBUTION
Our tapes/CDs are sent out on a fortnightly basis FREE OF CHARGE.
This charity is run entirely by volunteers, there are NO paid helpers at all. Their work includes editing, reading, technology and administration. The studio is at Winton Library with the blessing of Bournemouth Borough Council and the Library Services.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
By letting us know about anyone visually impaired or partially sighted who would be interested in receiving our tapes/CDs.
